Online Learning

Minecraft Education Online Learning

Live, curriculum-linked lessons taught by a specialist primary computing teacher, from your own home. Ages 5 to 11, one-to-one or in small groups, anywhere in the UK.

Learn. Build. Create. Together.

What Is Online Learning?

Online learning is a live lesson, taught by me over a video call, with your child working alongside me in a private Minecraft Education world. Nothing is pre-recorded. I teach, model, question and guide throughout, exactly as I would in a classroom, and your child builds, codes and explains their thinking as we go.

These lessons grew out of the after-school clubs I run in schools. Parents kept asking whether their child could carry on at home, so now they can. It suits home-educating families, children who want to stretch themselves beyond what school offers, and children who find a busy classroom hard going.

Minecraft Education is a separate, purpose-built version of Minecraft made for teaching. It has a built-in Code Builder, a camera and portfolio for capturing work, and locked-down private worlds with no strangers and no open chat. All the creativity your child already loves, inside a safe classroom with a teacher guiding the learning.

How the Lessons Work

One-to-One Lessons

A full hour of individual attention, planned around your child's interests, pace and targets. Ideal for a confidence boost, a specific area to strengthen, or a child who is ready for more of a challenge.

Small Group Lessons

Groups of three to five children of a similar age. Children build in a shared world, talk through problems together and learn the collaboration skills that sit at the heart of the computing curriculum.

Group Challenge Sessions

Themed sessions where the whole group works towards one shared goal: a build challenge, a coding puzzle or a design brief with real constraints, followed by a structured review of what worked.

What Your Child Will Learn

Every lesson is planned against primary national curriculum objectives for England. Your child isn't just playing; they're covering real learning, in a context they actually want to be in.

  • Computing and coding, from block code to MakeCode and Python in the built-in Code Builder
  • Maths made visible: area, perimeter, volume, coordinates, scale and ratio
  • Science through redstone circuits, habitats, biomes and materials
  • Creative writing rooted in a world the child has designed themselves
  • History and geography reconstructed, explained and justified
  • Online safety and digital literacy, taught explicitly rather than just enforced

Safe, Structured and Taught by a Teacher

  • Live lessons taught in real time by a qualified primary teacher, never pre-recorded
  • Every session mapped to primary national curriculum objectives
  • Enhanced DBS checked and fully insured, with clear safeguarding practice
  • Private worlds only, with no open matchmaking and no contact with strangers
  • A short written note after every session, and a progress summary at the end of each block
  • Free 20-minute introduction session before you spend anything

Register Your Interest
